Now I Need A Wide-Angle Lens

Before:

After:

All told, it came in at just about two weeks of work, though spread out over three. There's a bit more to do, but it's all minor aesthetic stuff like trim and paint and doors for over the hood. I'll get to all that much later–probably after the garden is planted. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go fondle my butcher block.

That backsplash tile is fantastic. Bet it was fun to grout.

That's gorgeous. Nice tilework, too. Oh yes. I noticed.

what kind of stove is it?

Claudia: You'd like that, wouldn't you.

Harpy: You know exactly how much fun.

Zoomie: If we had room, I would have gotten a 60" behemoth like that.

Blanche: Snaps for your powers of observation.

Claudia: Blue Star. It's basically a circumcised Garland.

This might not ever happen to me. I'm happy for you. Really. Sigh.

you did this yourself? you did this yourself. you did this yourself. deep kitchen envy. my stove is weeping with its own sense of 1970s apartment sized inferiority. the formica counters are slipping right off the plywood. luckily I have a massive fancy fridge. hah.

but that stove. I know your kitchen. have cooked in it. so can I come cook in it again?

Ant: Offended? Why the hell do you think I did all this work?

Julia: Sure it will. It can be the kitchen that jam and chutney built.

Jana: Well, you can start by showing up for Pilates and ogle it then.
